Green Government 2019 will bring together over 300 senior decision makers from central Government, local authorities, universities and associations, to discuss and debate sustainability and green initiatives within the public sector and the UK as a whole. In light of heightened public awareness surrounding climate change, single-use plastics and clean growth, there has never been a more appropriate time to share knowledge, discover innovation, and encourage adoption of green practices.
As part of London Climate Action Week, Green Government 2019 is one of the only conferences dedicated solely to sustainable practices within the public sector. This timely event will allow attendees the opportunity to discover innovative green solutions and apply them to their own organisations, as well as understanding the policy updates which will ultimately affect them and their work. In light of heightened public awareness surrounding climate change, single-use plastics and clean growth, there has never been a more appropriate time to share knowledge, discover innovation, and encourage adoption of green practices.
Rather than focusing just on one aspect of green practice, this inclusive conference will cover all aspects of sustainability; from building management and smart utilities, to future cities, clean technologies and policy updates.
The event will feature a policy-focused morning plenary with speeches from central Government representatives and split off into three streams in the afternoon. The streams will look at best practice case studies from local government and cutting-edge solutions from academics which demonstrate excellence in building management, city solutions, and innovation.
A number of respected speakers have already been confirmed, including representation from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the Crown Commercial Service, Glasgow City Council, and an international keynote from the European Climate Foundation. This one-day conference is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, discover innovation and reduce your impact on the environment.
